Facts Regarding the Institute of Biblical Studies (Chicago)
The Institute of Biblical Studies (Chicago) is a religious co-educational program designed for anyone interested in developing their biblical skills and understanding. It is an extension to fulfill, in part, special needs facing the New Testament Church in the twenty-first century. The school offers teaching and training in various Bible disciplines and in specialized areas including Pastoral and Christian Counseling, Leadership Development, Congregational Ministry and general Bible training for those who are serious students of the sacred Word. Certificates offered in the diploma program include: Christian Counseling, Theology, Religious Studies, Christian Education, Christian Apologetics, and Congregational Ministry to name a few. Our fundamental objective is to examine the Scripture using the “Five Pillar Learner’s Paradigm for Discovering Biblical Truth” approach. The administration and instructors are men of moral standards who shall instruct, evaluate, and certify its students; set standards for admission and graduation; and exercise those functions which are necessary to accomplish the stated purposes.
The Institute of Biblical Studies (Chicago) has an articulation agreement with the School of Religious Studies and College of Religion (SRS) which is located in the city of North Little Rock, Arkansas. Students who successfully complete courses at the Institute of Biblical Studies (Chicago), can receive transfer credit for any previous work they have taken. It is the intent of both institutions to offer courses that mirror each other in many respects. Although the Institute of Biblical Studies (Chicago) is affiliated with several faith-based associations in matters of accreditation, its curriculum philosophy and doctrinal position reflects the teaching of the New Testament Church and our belief in the Holy Scripture.
The Christian Counseling component of the Institute of Biblical Studies (Chicago) is affiliated with the National Christian Counselors Association of Sarasota, Florida, (www.ncca.org) as a Certified Academic Institution (CAI). This recognition enables the Institute of Biblical Studies (Chicago) to offer courses and credentials in the disciplines of Pastoral Christian Counseling, Clinical Christian Counseling, and Temperament Therapy.
